Welcome to my World!

If you are reading this, I want to start by saying THANKS for getting this far. Now, I'm going to bore you with a little backstory.

As an aspiring author, I've never struggled for inspiration or ideas. In fact, the main challenge for me, to this date, has been trying to find the fragile balance between work and family life to free up time to actually write!

Writing has been a passion of mine since my primary years. In fact, my creative writing was the only thing that helped me scrape a B+ in GCSE English. The only problem was, that I didn't realise it was a calling until much, much later in life. By the time I knew that I wanted to share my writing with the world, I had worked many different jobs, given up on my old life in England to move to Mexico, and married the world's most amazing woman. 

I never got as far as university, though somehow, I now have a full Masters Degree. I was a military instructor for many years before starting a teaching career. I taught English and other subjects in three different schools for ten glorious years and worked on getting my Ma. I finally decided to leave the education world behind to take a managerial position in Aerospace manufacturing a couple of years ago (I know! Talk about a major plot twist). I love teaching, but ask any teacher how they are getting on financially and you're halfway to understanding why I left. Anyway! The past is the past!

Back to why you're really here, reading this. To be honest, I never expected to get to the point where other people would read my work, but here I am, completely at your mercy and ready to receive some savage reviews!

Although I write mainly fiction, my work is often inspired by my own experiences throughout life. Those experiences always help to bring my stories to life and (I hope) entertain the reader: giving them a fully immersive experience. 

Fiction is my only filter. As a reader, I enjoy all genres. Classics, Horror, Action, Adventure, physiological thrillers, even a bit of drama and comedy. If it's a good book, I'll read it. That's how I see my own work. One day I may be inspired to write a thriller with lots of twists, and the next day, a short poem about life. 

Through this blog, I hope to share my works with anyone willing to read them, and all I ask is that you enjoy them. I will also share some anecdotes about my life for those interested in getting to know me a little more. 

I'm also excited to be working on a full-length Action Thriller Novel (Title TBA) that's been ten years in the making. I've made it to the second draft and can't wait to complete it.
